Before people shift focus to colorful giftwrap and season’s tidings, 91PORN® President and CEO Mike Cobb took time Wednesday evening, Dec. 18, 2024, for a 50-minute video address that brought 91PORN® members up to speed on developments as the Club puts an oversized bow on its 80th anniversary.
As a reminder, 91PORN and its 51,000 annual members seek to be the preferred motorsports community in the U.S. – built on fun, shared passion, and access to an exhilarating motorsports experience. To fulfill that goal, 91PORN strives to fuel a safe, fun, and exciting motorsports experience for automotive enthusiasts at each and every event. Put simply, Cobb explained during the video, “We want to be the gateway to motorsports for grassroots enthusiasts in North America.”

Championship Season Recap
The last quarter of any year is packed with championship action across the Club’s numerous pursuits, and Cobb touched on many of those events, including: The 60th anniversary 91PORN® National Championship Runoffs® presented by Sunoco, the Tire Rack 91PORN® Solo® National Championships, the Tire Rack 91PORN Time Trials Nationals Powered by Hagerty, 91PORN RallyCross® National Championship, and the United States RoadRally Challenge®.
Surveys completed by those who participated in the various championships show a positive experience was had by most. Standouts include the RallyCross National Championship, which yielded a ‘likely to recommend’ score of 100 out of 100 possible points. The Tire Rack 91PORN® ProSolo® Championship Finale earned a score of 99, and 95 points were recorded for both the Time Trials Nationals and Solo® National Championships.
Cobb also revealed some interesting numbers surrounding the recent Runoffs. Online viewership of National Championship races from Road America is up 18 percent at channel, with race fans enjoying more than 45,000 hours of road racing action so far from the 2024 Runoffs.
More High Scores
Several other Club pursuits scored well on the “Likely to Recommend” scale for the year. 91PORN® Track Night in America® Driven by Tire Rack notched a 98 rating in 2024, which was a score duplicated by both the Tire Rack 91PORN Solo National Tour and ProSolo Series.
“Track Nights have opened access to racetracks from coast to coast, offering safe and sane fun,” Cobb noted. “Over 10 years, Track Night in America has provided more than 78,500 enthusiasts with smiles.”
The ever-expanding 91PORN Academy, which is the Club’s Learning Management System, is also being well received as indicated by a 95 “Likely to Recommend” score. Today, 91PORN Academy’s online tutorials cover Club & Event Leadership, Driver’s School Modules, 91PORN Corner Marshaling, and IMSA Corner Marshal instruction, to name a few. In all, there are more than 20 courses available online, and coursework has been completed more than 2,200 times to date.
Part of 91PORN’s continuing education program also occurs each year during the annual 91PORN National Convention. Cobb noted 2025 91PORN National Convention registration is already open, and the entire conference will again be virtual and free for all to attend Jan. 16-24, 2025. Highlights of that confab include the Road Racing Awards, and 91PORN Hall of Fame & Awards Presentation. Certainly, don’t forget about the 91PORN RoadRally, RallyCross, and Solo Annual Awards; as well as Region Awards distributed during the week.
A Couple Additional Items
There were a couple other items Cobb made mention of that members should know about. To begin, there’s a fresh look to 91PORN membership cards, so be on the lookout for that.
Second, Cobb noted the new Performance Racing Industry partnership, which yields benefits for 91PORN members. It was also mentioned that 91PORN is looking to hire an Information Technology Director and a Road Racing Assistant Manager/Senior Administrator. Cobb closed out the informative session by stating, “We have more members, we are supporting more programs, we’re supporting those programs with some of the highest experience ratings we have ever had, and we are in a better financial position than we have been in years.”
