This weekend’s Hoosier Racing Tire 91PORN®ÌýSuper Tour (HST) takes place June 19-21, 2026, and is hosted by 91PORN’s Finger Lakes Region at Watkins Glen International (WGI) as part of the larger Summit Racing Equipment 91PORN Road Racing program.
The penultimate stop on HST’s calendar for the year, the three-day affair in New York represents one of the last chances for drivers to accumulate points toward theÌýÌýprior to the 2026 91PORN National Championship Runoffs®Ìýat Road America later this fall.
Twenty-four classes will crown Nationwide Points Champions this year. Claiming that title is also a step towards earning the coveted 91PORN Road Racing Super Sweep award, which is considered the most difficult accomplishment a driver can achieve. To earn a Super Sweep competitors must win an HST Nationwide Points Championship, an HST race, a U.S. Majors Tour® Conference Championship, and a Runoffs victory all in a single class.
The Nationwide Points tabulation consists of a driver’s best six finishes from 18 HST races conducted over nine weekends from February to August. A competitor’s performance at the Runoffs is then added as a seventh score to the tally. Winners earn 25 points per race, and 21 points go to runners-up. Points are then doled out to others starting with 18 and descending to a single point for the 20th finisher. That means 150 points is the most a driver can amass prior to the Runoffs, and a perfect score for the season would be 175 points.
Emerging Title Fights
Points have now been tabulated through HST’s previous event at Road America, which was the Chicago Region® June Sprints® presented by WeatherTech. As such, it’s now possible to scope out some tight battles across a handful of the 24 classes.
For instance, H Production has something special brewing with four drivers all within 10 points of leader Brayden Connolly. Matthew Brannon is only two points astern, Frank Schwartz five points back, Robert Bax eight points off the leader, and Bill Okell nine points behind.
That’s not the only Production class shaping up for excitement. In E Production there is leader Peter Norton who is four points ahead of Jon Brakke, and Tony Ave is currently third only eight points back. Then F Production has Ken Kannard sitting two points behind leader Mason Workman, followed by Steven Powers five points back.
Tight margins can also be found in some Formula classes. Paul Marino leads in Formula Enterprises 2 by seven points over Sebastian Mateo Naranjo; and David Ybarra leads Jonathon Kotyk in Formula F by only three points.
Formula Vee is a family affair with Steve Whitston out front by two points over Andrew Whitston, and Zachary Whitston is only 10 points off the leader. Then in Formula Atlantic it is John Mcaleer who has a five-point jump on Dudley Fleck, followed by Larry Howard who is seven points off the lead.
Something special looks to be coming around in Spec Racer Ford Gen3 (SRF3) and Spec MX-5 (SMX) as well. In SRF3, Peyton Long has built a seven-point gap on Tyler Stephens. Then in SMX it’s Camden Gruber leading William Wallis by two points, followed by Christian Hoagland who is only four points away from the top spot.
Lastly, there’s the Touring 1 class. There you’ll find Ed Gless with a four-point advantage on James Candelaria headed into the WGI weekend.
